  • Attitude of Yoga Poses with Dr. Bob Butera

    Wednesday, August 27th, 7:35 - 9:00 PM

    Did you know that yoga poses all have unique attitudes associated with them? By understanding the inherent quality that is encompassed in a certain pose, the practitioner can reach new levels of understanding in their practice. This seminar will focus on how to identify and then use the concept attitude in a yoga pose practice.

  • Chakras in Yoga Poses with Angela Nevius

    Saturday, August 30th, 1:30 - 3:30

    Understanding the energetic anatomy of the Chakras contributes to a more complete yoga pose experience. This seminar will focus on experimenting with Chakra awareness in poses, and how to use that awareness in the process of self discovery and understanding. Come dressed for a yoga class and ready to share your experiences!

    Come and join us for a complimentary class to learn more about yoga and what you can do with it to help improve your well-being. Tell or bring a friend! Accessible to all ages and levels of ability. Wear comfortable clothes that you can move around in. Yoga mats are available for your use.

  • Teaching Pre-Natal Yoga with Randi Coen-Gilbert

    Saturday, September 6th, 1:30 - 3:30 PM

    Pregnancy is a time when many women begin to make positive changes in their lives in preparation for all the changes that motherhood will bring. For many women this will be their first venture into a yoga practice and they will look toward their teacher as someone who can provide guidance and safety as they move forward toward birth. This class will offer tips for teaching prenatal women, as well as specific poses and approaches to apply in a prenatal class. Appropriate for teachers in training or teachers who already have their 200 hour certification.

  • Breathing in Yoga Poses with Dr. Bob Butera

    Wednesday, September 10th, 7:35 - 9:15 PM

    Yoga breathing does wonderful things for the body and mind. By bringing more oxygen into the system and feeding the body on a cellar level, it can improve brain function and help purge toxins from the system. The total effect of Yoga poses and breathing is to produce a state of high vitality and rejuvenation. This seminar will review different types of Yoga poses and how remain aware of and then deepen the breath while you are in them.

  • How Mindfulness Meditation Works with Suzi Costello

    Mindfulness meditation originates from early Buddhist teachings dating back some 2,500 years. Mindfulness is a technique in which one pays attention to his or her present emotions, thoughts and body sensations, such as breathing, without passing judgment or reacting. Modern science is starting to study and identify why these ancient practices work, bringing together the Buddha’s teachings with modern neuroscience. This seminar will focus on the “how’s and why’s” of Mindfulness meditation, with a focus on the powerful results it can achieve.

  • Throat Chakra (5th) and Yoga Poses with Angela Nevius

    The Throat chakra is our will center, and relates to how honestly we can express ourselves. A challenge of the throat chakra is to express ourselves in the most truthful manner. It is the passage way between our higher and lower selves. This seminar will be an in-depth examination of the fifth chakra and its meanings, applications and guides for personal insight.
