  • Understanding Archetypes in Yoga Pose with Dr. Bob Butera

    An archetype is an original model or type after which other similar things are patterned. Through Yoga poses, it is possible to embody both natural and humanistic archetypes and go back through this chain. An understanding of this model can deepen a Yoga pose practice by connecting the practitioner with something much bigger than themselves, offering new avenues for healing and personal growth. This seminar will introduce the concept of archetypes with a special focus on helping students incorporate their understanding and take practice to a whole new level of self-realization.

  • Sequencing Vinyasa Flow Practices with Teresa Winte

    Have you ever wondered what constitutes a well-balanced Vinyasa flow yoga class? Or noticed how some teachers seem to have a fluid creative style with others stick more of a scripted approach? This seminar will explore the basic principles of creative sequencing and considerations for flowing Yoga practice sessions, and offer a framework from which teachers and practitioners can work to create compelling and authentic personal experiences in a physically challenging style of practice. Some yoga pose experience required.

    Have you been wanting to take your yoga off of your mat and into the room? Come explore the possibilities of expression as you dance from the inside out. Connect to the subtle rhythms of your body and emotions. Let the music move you to a place where you can feel uninhibited in a judgement free environment. No previous dance experience is necessary. Dress to move & be playful!

  • Yoga Anatomy: Muscles in Yoga Poses with Joshua Rusbuldt

    The study of human anatomy and physiology can be a daunting task due to the body’s wonderful complexity. But many of the core principles can be appreciated without the incredible detail as found in most academic courses or reference books. This seminar will begin to introduce some key anatomical concepts about the muscles and how they relate to yoga poses, in an inquisitive, explorative, and fun atmosphere.

  • Root Chakra Yoga Class with Kristen Butera

    The Root Chakra connects us to the structural strength of our bodies, including our connection to the earth and the energy of manifestation within us. Physiologically, our bones, muscles, legs, feet, and pelvic floor are connected to this energy. This special class will focus building energetic awareness and include breathing exercises, mudras, yoga poses and meditation/visualization techniques that will awaken and strengthen from within. Come dressed for a yoga class!

  • Restorative Yoga Class with Judy Curiel

    Restorative Yoga is also known as the yoga of Not-Doing. This special 2-hour class will offer practitioners the opportunity to slow down and enjoy a prolonged yoga practice that utilizes blankets, pillows and other props to help relieve stress and restore balance and harmony to the body and mind. Good for all levels of students.

  • Yoga Therapy for Healthy Relationships with Bob Butera

    The ultimate goal of yoga is union—with the divine essence in others and ourselves. Applying what we learn “on the mat” to navigate challenges we experience in our relationships isn’t always easy yet it is fundamental to living in greater harmony with the world around us. Topics covered will include family dynamics, understanding emotions, creating appropriate boundaries, discovering joy in relationships and self-care.

    Have you ever tried to meditate and found it hard to silence the mental chatter? One of the unique things about Yoga is that it offers a variety of different exercises that specifically designed to harness mental focus and help quiet the mind. This seminar will instruct students on different techniques, including deep breathing, sensory mastery and positive thinking with an emphasis on how to practice them at home.

  • The Yoga of Recovery: Working with Addiction with Caroline Lawson

    More and more yogis in the mental health field are combining their mental health training with their love and knowledge of yoga to create programs to help heal their clients. The 12-Step model is at the core of most addictions treatments and its spiritual roots and are richly interwoven with the 8-Fold Path of Yoga. This seminar will examine the roots of addiction from yogic perspective and offer complimentary practices to the philosophy.

Yoga, with its quiet, precise movements can draw your focus away from your busy, chaotic life and bring you into a the calm place as you move your body through poses that require balance and concentration. This seminar will talk about how Yoga Therapy helps practitioners seek out, understand and change the root causes of their stress in order to transform their experience of life.
